Items are divided into two categories for shipping:

Small Items

  • Sent via UPS or FedEx Ground.
  • Packages less than 150 lbs.

Large Items

  • Sent via trusted carriers that specialize in handling large items.
  • Shipping options that list the level of delivery service.
  • Typically take one to three weeks for delivery.
We only ship within the contiguous United States, which consists of the 48 adjoining U.S. states (plus the District of Columbia) on the continent of North America.

Suppliers will typically ship within 2-4 business days after the invoice is paid, and orders can be expected to arrive to a customer within 5-8 business days from the order date.

Please note: Carter Medical Supply does not allow shipping to PO Boxes or military APOs.

We won't surprise you with any hidden charges or handling fees. The price you see in the shopping cart is the price you pay, with one exception: if you are shipping an order to the state of Nevada, United States, we are required to collect sales tax.

Nevada State Sales & Use Tax Exemption (news release)

If you purchase items from the following product categories, they are exempt from sales and use taxes:

Durable medical equipment, oxygen delivery equipment and mobility enhancing equipment, including any repair and replacement parts

To be exempt from sales tax, all items must be prescribed for human use by a licensed provider of health care acting within his or her scope of practice.

Estimated Lead Time: 

Yamato Scientific America, Inc. - In stock items usually ship within 5-7 business days. If the product is manufactured to order, it can take 6-8 weeks from the time your order is placed. 

Order Confirmation:
Once your order is placed with us you will receive a notification and confirmation email and/or SMS message with all your order details. If you receive your confirmation message that means our system has properly processed your purchase and has pre-authorized your credit card. We will then submit your order to our transit team to reach out to our supplier and/or warehouse manager to ensure that your item is still in stock for immediate packaging and shipping. If for some reason your item happens to be out of stock or on backorder, we will void the pre-authorization and reach out to you via email.  If the item(s) for your order become available for shipping within 9 days, we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment.

Shipment process:
Upon receiving your order we will verify the stock level of your item and proceed with processing your card within 7 days from the date of your order. Once the tracking numbers are available we will issue those to you via email to the email you provided at the time of your purchase. If for some reason you do not receive the tracking information from our team within 8 days of your order, do not hesitate to reach out to us at

Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any damage you should make note of it when signing for delivery.  If your item(s) do arrived damaged, please send photos to and we will process an insurance claim on your behalf.
